LMWindPower Visit

What is 88.4 meters long and moves as fast as a racing car without traveling anywhere?

On Thursday 26th of January, WESA visited the testing facilities of LM Wind Power in Lunderskov.

LM Windpower is one of the largest blade designer and manufacturer world wide.

There we had the opportunity to see the various development phases of (really long) turbine blades, acquire insight in blade manufacturing and testing, meet the people of LM Wind Power and learn their values.

Overall we were able to acquire a holistic view of the business and how it will develop in the future.

We also met with our fellow AEOLUS students as well as a DTU alumni (btw, also WESA member) from the Wind Energy Master who works there now!

Apart from having one car broken (trust in public transportation, it’s also more environmentally friendly ;) ) we had an impressive day full of surprises.

Many thanks to LM Wind Power for a memorable visit, we are looking forward to an ongoing cooperation.

Hope to see you next year!
